Leonard Voyles of Clay County Scholarship Fund – Applicants must be seeking a degree from Florida State University, GPA of 3.5 or higher.  Value a minimum of $750.  Deadline:  April 1, 2007 (Applications are in guidance)

 

Total Lawn Care Scholarship – Applicant must have a GPA of 2.5, attend Lake City Community College in the Landscape Technology Program or Pest Control Operations Program, must work for Total Lawn Care.  Value full tuition  Deadline:  April 1, 2007

 

Visual Arts/Arts Education Scholarship – Applicants must be seeking a degree in the Visual Arts or Arts Education must present a portfolio.  Value: $500  Deadline:  April 1, 2007   (Applications are in guidance)

 

Clay Electric Cooperative Youth Scholarship – Applicants must live with the parent, whose primary residence is served by Clay Electric. Value: $1,000 Deadline:  April 2, 2007 (Applications are in guidance)

 

Orange Park Women’s Club – Applicants must write a 200-word essay on “My Personal and Professional Goals and Aspirations”.  Deadline:  April 3, 2007  (Applications are in guidance)

 

First Coast Technical Institute Tech Prep Scholarship – Applicants must have participated in a Tech Prep program of study, must train at First Coast Technical Institute, GPA of 2.0 or higher, with a 3.0 or higher in the career/tech program.  Deadline: April 7, 2007 (Applications are in guidance)

 

St. Johns River Community College Tech Prep Scholarship – Applicants must enroll at SJRCC, have a GPA of 2.8 or higher and a 3.0 or higher in the Tech Prep program. Deadline:  April 7, 2007  (Applications are in guidance)

 

Alpha Delta Kappa Scholarship- Applicants must be female and write a 300-500 word essay on why you want to be a teacher and what you hope to accomplish through teaching. Deadline: April 9, 2007  (Applications are in guidance)

22nd Annual Essay Contest on Ayn Rand’s Novel The Fountainhead – www.aynrand.org/contests  Essay will be judged on style and content, no fewer than 800 and no more than 1600 words.  See the website for topics.  Open for juniors and seniors.  Value $10,000 for first prize.  Deadline:  April 25, 2007

Bob Hudson Scholarship – Applicants must have a GPA of 3.0 or higher.  Value: $500

Faculty Challenge Scholarship - Awarded to an employee or the child of an employee of SJRCC.  Value:  $500/semester

First Generation in College Scholarship - For students whose parents do not have a baccalaureate degree.  Value:  $5,000

Irwin and Elizabeth Zekaria Endowed Scholarship - Application is to all students, however, deaf students will receive preference.  Value:  $500 to $1,000/semester

Joe and Linda Pickens Florida Community College Scholarship – Applicants must demonstrate that they have an interest in higher education and demonstrate financial need.  Value:  $500 to $1,000/semester

Orange Park Medical Center Auxiliary Scholarship - Applicants must be accepted in the nursing program and agree to accept employment, if offered, in the nursing field at Orange Park Medical Center upon graduation from SJRCC.  Value:  $1,000/semester

Phil A Sargent Memorial Scholarship – Applicants must have a GPA of 3.0 and higher.  Value:  $500/year

Roger W. Mathews Ethics in Business Scholarship – Applicant must have a willingness to perform community service.  Value:  $500 to $1,000/semester

Academic Scholarships- Applicant must have ACT of 23 or SAT of 1080, a GPA of 3.2.

African American Leadership Scholarship – Applicant must have a GPA of 2.5

Hispanic Leadership Scholarship – Applicant must have a GPA of 2.5
