Developing the skills and abilities measured by college entrance examinations is best accomplished over a long period of time through academic courses and intensive study and reading. Short-term drill has no effect. However, practicing sample test items can familiarize you with the test to make you feel more relaxed as you take it. Test preparation booklets with practice tests are available in the guidance office for both the SAT and the ACT. Additional books and software programs are available for use at the school or can be purchased in local bookstores. See your counselor for details. Go to any of the sites below to prepare or to improve your test scores. Try them all... one never knows which system will work best.
The College Board site has the "Test Prep Center" for SAT test preparation. One may download a 68 question mini-SAT or take a full length practice SAT online, complete with answer analysis.
The GoCollege website at http://www.gocollege.com/ has both, ACT and SAT preparation tests. Use the "Test Yourself" link on the bottom left.
The Princeton Review website at http://www.princetonreview.com/ also has ACT and SAT preparation tests. Check the "Raise Your Score" section of the site. Additionally, there is other useful information on this site for LMAT, GMAT, etc.
